So you don’t consider Greta or Mike Wallace real reporters?

Anyone who is the "face" of the news program, since at least the late 1990s (and for certain people, long before that) -- is NOT a "reporter."

This is the FNC equivalent of Freeping polls. The FNC Special Report audience is conservative. It’s no surprise that the Democrat graphs mirror the Republican ones.

I agree with doing away with them. The graphs show what we already know, that the audience agrees with conservative views and disagrees with lib views. There aren’t any minds being changed.

Mike Wallace

I'm pretty sure Mike is still dead. Before that, he was getting into trouble for having his driver double park while getting takeout meat loaf.

OH that’s right! Chris is the one who’s still walking and talking. Mike is officially ‘not a reporter’ anymore.

I agree, it adds NOTHING to the broadcast. It is distracting and annoying.

The graphs reflect the singing of the choir; Krauthammer talks and the graph lines always peg to the top.

It’s all part of being “immediate.”

I’ve noticed that too. Also with Kristin Powers, and to a lesser degree, Mara Liasson.

Think that’s bad?

There is a local radio station I usually have my radio pre-set to.

Three of the local radio celebrities (two female, one male) are often on if I randomly turn the radio on.

It is a somewhat liberal station, which I don’t find to be a problem, because there are few other local stations that have political/social discussions.

The problem?
All three of these announcers/hosts have this kind of really sing-songy voice. At the same time, it irritates the hell out of you, and kinda hypnotizes you and makes you drop your guard.

Seriously. This is MKUltra mind control stuff!

Makes me shudder, but it’s the only local station that airs C2C.

You have the opposite problem I’ve experienced with Mark Levin, the conservative radio host. I agree with most of Marks views, but I almost never listen to him longer than say 10 minutes at a time for two reasons; #1. Mark spends too much time insulting people personally, left and right with name calling, A lot like Michael Savage. #2. Mark has a harsh, squeezed out rasp of a voice, he harangues and nags and scolds like an angry fishwife. My name for Levin is Nag-Zilla.

Nag-Zilla!

Good one!

I am at the point that I force myself to disbelieve anything radio, tv, etc has to say.

The people who get paid to talk, they are NOT getting paid to “tell you the truth”.
They are getting paid to “convince you of something”.

Those are two different things. Two VERY different things!

Well it is fun to watch the look of chagrin on Juan Williams’ face when it’s announced that everyone - men, women, Republicans, Democrats, and Independents - disagreed with him on some point that he made with such assertion and confidence during the discussion.....

Even with such blatant In Your Face rejection, you can bet that Juan Williams still considers himself a precious canary, fey and pure, involuntarily held captive in the damp, dark coal mines of conservatism. He’s waiting for US to see the light. That is his mission!

Every time Juan Williams speaks, the graph lines nosedive.
*************************
Agree! The lines on the interactive charts show Dems, Indies and Pubs, as well as males and females.

They do not depict “feelings”; but do reflect responses to what the panel members say.

It’s a way of polling what ideas the viewers identify with and those they don’t at all, in real time. ....I disagree with those who want Fox News to eliminate the feature, as I think it gives a view to how people outside of the coastal areas of the US might lean.

**********************
Greta... Yes. She does very good probing interviews of both Dems and Pubs.

Mike Wallace would be in the same category as Dan Rather, as both were slimey, snarky, lying guys who did whatever it took to try to grab a headline.

Mike’s son, Chris on Fox and Fox News, is also snarky but not as slimey and dirty as his dad was. I don’t consider Chris to be a reporter; he’s a show host and telepromter reader.
