I’m just not impressed with him or his intellect like some are. I think he’s a lose canon and not very bright. And no, I don’t care where he went to school. I’ve met some idiot law review editors in my day.

loose cannon? he’s probably the most disciplined communicator in politics in generations. he’s a champion debater. your standards may be somewhat unrealistic.
Ted Cruz fights, which is more than I can say for over 90% of the elected Republicans in Washington. As for his intellect, I don’t know him personally, but I am friends with someone who does. My friend confirms that Cruz does indeed have a very sharp, agile, and trained mind. I can only hope that he avoids getting “Potomac Fever” and turning liberal as so many others have.
