Jim Mora signs new 6-year deal to stay at UCLA

UCLA coach Jim Mora has signed a new six-year contract to stay with the program, the school announced Tuesday. Bruce Feldman of CBSSports.com first reported that Mora would stay with the school.

Mora had been connected with Washington’s head coaching opening since UW coach Steve Sarkisian was hired as USC’s newest coach on Monday.

Mora is a graduate of the University of Washington, where he played football and began his coaching career as a graduate assistant.

If Ed O looked like Sarkisian he would have had the job instantly.

Ed O knows it, Sarkisian knows it and Haden knows it.

Karma would mean a second Ted Tollner era.

Extensions don’t mean squat. Just ask the University of New Mexico. Last season the Lobos and their Basketball Coach agreed to a 10 year contract extension. 3 days later that rat bastidge Steve Alford jumped ship to UCLA. I hope karma comes back to bite UCLA in the azz and Mora jumps ship to Washington!
