The SEC has won the BCS Championship 7 years in a row. Until some other conference can demonstrate some parity with the SEC, which none has recently, the SEC should have the right to defend its supremacy with a one-loss team. Oregon and Notre Dame talked some hype, but they melted when they came out to play the big boys. I give FL State some respect, but not Ohio State as long as they hide behind their schedule in a 2nd class conference, undefeated or not. The Big 10 needs to prove they are worthy again. They used to be, but they haven’t been in quite a while. I look forward to the day the Big 10 can redeem themselves. It is much more fun to “hate” (in a competitive sense) them that way . . . :)

the SEC doesn’t play in the game a team does. By that argument last years winner should always get to play in the title game.

That is just stupid.

I have been following all this chatter about the SEC and Ohio State, but everybody seems to be ignoring the elephant in the room. Namely Florida State. I am a big Bama fan, but having watched Bama and Florida State play throughout the year, I was convinced that FSU would easily defeat Bama had they been matched in the Championship game. I still think Bama is better than Auburn (despite the loss), Ohio State and Missouri, but FSU would destroy any one of them.

lol...That's quite possibly the worst argument I've ever heard for national championship lobbying.

You lose...you're done. At least barring a miracle. That's the way it's always been.

The SEC has possibly the easiest path to the national championship...don't lose. You can't say that for any other conference where undefeated teams may still be overlooked.

If you are in the SEC and want to play for the national championship DON'T LOSE.

Easy solution: we don’t need a BCS game, the SEC Championship game should determine the National Champion. That way we can turn our attention to basketball sooner.

Then play a better none conference schedule, and traveling out past the Mississippi River for a change. Look at what happened to Tennessee against Oregon this year.
