How to retaliate vs Senate rule changes
11/23/2013 | Vanity

Posted on 11/23/2013 11:32:46 AM PST by Usagi_yo

There are a few Rules the House can change in retaliation for the questionable Senate rule change.

1. No more reconciliation committees. 2. Blue slip any legislation stripped and packed by the Senate under origination theory. 3. Cut Senate and House budget allowances for travel. 4. Basically start defunding the Senate.

Anybody else?

This will be an exercise in why we need to primary a bunch of them. I think they will whine like little b!tch%s and in the end will do nothing.

Pass a house rule that the minority can’t be part of committees.

I say stop funding the continuing budget resolutions. Stopping the debt limit increases might backfire, but making it ten day increases at a time might put a kink in Reid/Obama’s swag.

The republicans in the house could simply defund anyone Obama appoints under this new rule. That would quickly put a stop to it.

Do away with unanimous consents.

That sounds like a plan and all of these ideas sound good. I hope our side is doing something.
Am I correct in assuming they have left for Thanksgiving break? Does anyone know if they approved the 3 judges to the 10th Circuit that this whole thing was supposedly about? (I have a feeling it is about much more than that...)

All suggestions are well and good, however, getting Weeper Bonehead to any or all will be next to impossible.

I know, it is so depressing. In my outraged mind, I was expecting Boehner to call the House into session Friday morning and immediately start doing some of the things mentioned above. I know....I can be extremely wishful at times. I just can’t believe they (the House leadership) r not as outraged as I still am!!!!!

Yeah, but does Boehner have the balls to do it?

Boehner? You mean McConnell? Never mind. They are one and the same.

It’s interesting to read about possible strategies the House Leadership could use to retaliate.

Too bad we don’t have any actual leadership in the House.

This should be confronted with symbols and images…BOYCOTT. When the next vote comes, just stand, throw down your notebook, turn your backs, or file out.

Warn every nominee that if they are voted in by this manner, they'll be impeached later!

I hear you. I’m still outraged, too. Nothing makes sense, anymore...since Jan of 2009.

Republicans decide against the "nuclear option" in 2005 because they wanted to be fair to Democrats.

Democrats then turn around and stab Republicans in the back.

The 2014 elections should be about Democrats lying and cheating to get what they want, starting with Obamacare, and moving though all the deception and cheating to win in 2012, Bengahzi, fudged census jobs report, IRS going after the Tea Party.

You can't trust them. Even when you try to be fair to them you get the shaft.

Yes, do it. Turn DC into a big museum and start over.

I’m talking a Faraday cage structure cell signals can’t get through, folding chairs, astroturf flooring, no airport within 200 miles, port-o-potties. Nobody gets in except the elected and 1 staffer.

Just like the Founders had to do it.

Thanks for posting this.

I am tired of the whining (in D.C.) and caterwauling about how nasty and unfair the Democrats are.

DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!

FIGHT BACK!
