JFK didn’t start NASA, President Eisenhower did.
Kennedy didn’t “stave off Communism”, he was the Jimmy Carter of his time, except far worse. JFK was an almost America destroying incompetent when dealing with the Communists, he even wanted the moon landing to be a Soviet/American effort, his death ended that ridiculous fantasy.
