With so much bad news, I figured a light-hearted article was appropriate today :)

In the early sixties I was on Santa Rosa Island off the coast from Santa Barbara, Ca. where the USAF had a radar facility. There was lots of wildlife on the island, including Elk and Mule deer.

There was a young buck that roamed the squadron area when I arrived there, and I soon learned that he was called Radar, and he loved cigarettes, which he would eat from anyone’s hands.
