Welcome larryjohnson, our newest pingee. A second of two low-pressure troughs came through here yesterday that put me in bed for the day. We got the promised 35 mph winds, but not the possible 50 mph winds, which is just fine with me. The first came through late Friday just in time to make miserable the picnic put on by the Marine Corp recruiting office that my son is attached to until he is called up to boot camp. But, hey, these are Marines, so no one was heard complaining.
Joe is promising a warmer winter in the west and that's fine, too. I just wish we could see more rain/snow on the western slopes of the Rocky Mountains.

I discovered that this is available to NON subscribers. Thank you for adding me to ping. I still understand most of what Joe says,after almost 50 years since my degree. Joe is a Denier which is prob one reason he left accuweather and start weatherbell.
My son is in Arcata. We lived in Manhattan Bch for 30 years before following our daughter to Maine. We move to Florida in December.
I miss Calif but no way would I pay your taxes or Maines anymore.
