No one who cares about the middle class in this country, or the poor worldwide, would suggest burning more food for fuel.
Real self-proclaimed "liberals" have enough guts to face the facts: the solution to the problem of poverty is to create fewer impoverished people, which is to say: dispose of more of them. Sacrifices may need to be made during extreme emergencies, but better to sacrifice the poor than better people.
And be sure to recycle the poor people.
