According to my grocery store line statistical gathering over a three year period, the local Kroger takes the EBT card for 7 out of 10 purchases.

Not only is the EBT card for food, it's also aid for families, so it has a cash function also. It can be used to buy cigarettes, booze, etc....It's a dual use card. It has a cash value and a cash for food only value. It's both.

BTW, the 3 non EBT purchases for stuff are either white people, or older black men.

I had never heard of an EBT card. Before I left for the last time in 2004, I did see blacks and only on rare occasion a few whites using food stamps.
If I came back, I guess would think I was in some new country on Mars.
