I didn’t hear them, either.

Maybe today’s warnings are subliminal and we’re all supposed to obey them before they’re even uttered.

I don’t know if it’s possible but it would be better if the dash cams tracked movement like security cams do.

We could see what’s happening “just out of range” like this example.

“If he was aiming that truck at me, I’d have shot him in a heartbeat.”

So, if your vehicle was hit by another vehicle you would get out and shoot the driver? That doesn’t sound right but to each his own.

You don’t happen to live anywhere near Birmingham do you?

I have this silly notion that the police do not have the authority to commit murder. When will the trial begin?

Hey, I’m all for removing the threat but...just seems to me like they went to the final solution too quickly.

Thanks for the write up. With those events in mind, he lost all rights to live IMHO. Bashing the cop car at low speed, not so much, but blowing through red lights and bashing other vehicles, he is a dangerous felon and a predator on society. I believe ALL predators give up their right to live as we have the right to protect ourselves from them and stop them by any means at our disposal.

Same thing happened to my step son years ago, he lost his life in an accident during a cop chase. He wasn’t the driver, he was a passenger, and the driver had a couple of traffic warrants and didn’t want to go to jail.

I believe that the determination of wrongful death ought to be made by a jury, not an investigation board and/or a prosecuting authority. The jury might well agree with the investigation, but until the judicial system has played it’s role, we have the state serving as judge, jury, executioner, and legislator. Not good.

I *thought* the final impact of his truck was ~him~ ramming the parked cruiser but it seems more likely his truck was rammed by a cop again, from the front, pushing it back into the cruiser, otherwise, the dash cam would have surely shaken a lot more than it did.

Is it the norm for cops to repeatedly ram expensive cruisers into other vehicles as much as they did his truck?

Several years ago, over zealous, “blood lust” cops chased a kid down a back road in WV and wound up causing the panicked kid to die...and the driver of the car the kid t-boned in an intersection.

Pursuit laws changed because of them.

No longer can they indulge in “wild hunt” chases.

“Pulling a stunt like this would have never, *ever* occurred to me.”

Oh, it might have occurred to me but immediately after that thought would be the thought of my dad going savage on my ass! So, my initial thought would have lasted about 1/100th of a second.

So, failing to show due respect to the police is punishable by death without a trial? When will the police be tried for their actions?

“More like murder by cop. Read the article. “

Watch the video and get back to us. Articles have political and personal bias. Reporters don’t know how to keep just to the facts.

Yeah, and then there’s that...LOL

He actually said “If you ever get put in jail, do not call me to get you out. I will not come..and you will be in worse trouble when you finally do get home.”

I bet I was the most law abiding teenager in a hundred mile radius.

:D

Police Chases.

High speed police chases kill hundreds of people—including law enforcement officials, alleged criminals and innocent civilians—each year in the United States. The wrongful deaths and personal injuries caused by a police chase makes them one of top causes of car accidents

Pursuits by law enforcement on the road are even more dangerous than commonly thought. More people in the United States are killed by high speed pursuits than they are by police firearms, and yet, these wrongful deaths from car accidents will likely continue year after year. That is why we must convince police departments to modify their pursuit policies to only chase offenders when the following occurs:
•It is safe to follow and pursue a suspect.
•Only chase a fleeing driver when forcible felonies are involved.

In a minor case, such as a shoplifting incident, it makes little or no sense for the police to pursue such a suspect at high speeds in a metropolitan area where it is likely to hurt innocent bystanders. When the police chase a suspect for a non-violent act or a minor offense and someone is killed, then, we as a society must ask ourselves if the good outweighs the bad.

I had the problem of my dad’s military rank. As he put it: “I’m the one that could let you out...you know how that’s going to end.”

Sorry for your loss. When I look back on some of the stupid things I did in my youth I sometimes wonder why I’m still here.

I never said I was for all these wild police chases. I think 95% of them could easily be avoided and cops should be held accountable if not.

That said, when a kid goes screaming off in a truck and trailer and is causing lethal danger to others the cops have my blessing to stop the idiot by any means necessary to avoid harm to others and themselves, and I couldn’t give a rats ass about the bad guy. Kill him if that’s what it takes. He lost his right to live by endangering the lives of others.

I had a guy try to ram me on my motorcycle on the freeway, an Occupy dweeb looking to cause problems. He got a bullet just past his nose and was lucky how things turned out that he was still breathing. I don’t care for these temper tantrum jackasses that are supposed to know better. Their endangering my life doesn’t mean I am supposed to become understanding and loving and ask them why they are acting out. My job is to save my life even if that means ending theirs.

When I was about 8 years old I was listening to Bill Cosby say that on the record player. My dad was in the hallway and piped in, “You bet! That’s just not our responsibility as your parent, it’s our pleasure”, he said with an evil grin. My laughter turned to a muffled laugh.
