Thanks for the thanks. My main heritage is Polish so I have cooler weather in my genes. Currently living in S. MS and the summers are as brutal for me as a NY winter. Wife hates the cold so I agreed to stay here if we could make ends meet - was half-way hoping I would have to chase a job a bit further north (central TN would have been perfect).

My husband and I lived in Saudi Arabia on the Arabian/Persian Gulf. The summer temps were 115-117 degrees with 95% humidity. The heat began, and I think 105 degrees is "heat," and cooled down by mid November.

Each home had TWO HUGE A.C. units. Just to test the system one day I got our home down to 60 degrees. Just like home.

The water, the gulf, was also 95 degrees.

After living there for five years I SWORE I would never, never, ever, ever complain about hot weather, no matter where I traveled to. Lol. I don't care for snow either so California is perfect for me. It's been my home most of my life and the weather suits me to a tee.

Off the coast today there MUST have been a huge run of smelt or something because there were DOZENS of dophins and seals fishing, eating and playing only a few hundred yards from shore. FABULOUS to watch.
