Use cash for your massive wine purchase. Don't want that showing up in your Husseincare file.

Is that why a bottle of wine is as little as $2 and change at Aldi's?

About ten or so years ago, I remember reading here that there was a shortage of honey bees.
I never gave it too much thought except to remember it.
I wonder how much that plays in the scheme of things

Well, it takes a little while for the vines to reach production stage, but I imagine the free market will take care of it.
Unless Obama and the greenies decide to block it.

It’s possible to grow your own grapes and make your own wine.

Grapes are wind pollinated.

Thanks, Global Warming Cultists!
Luckily, I prefer Whiskey. It’s good for medicinal purposes as well, so I’d better stock up along with ammo, gold, ammo, silver, ammo, canned goods, ammo, warm socks, ammo, sturdy boots, ammo, ciggies for bartering, ammo, toilet paper and ammo! :)

Sounds like it could mean bumper years ahead for U.S. growers.
As long as we have Kahleefornya, I’m Oh-Tay! ;-)

While I, myself, LOVES me some Honey Bees, and do all I can to help them, grapes are self-pollinating.
If anyone is SERIOUS about growing their own, here is my SHAMELESS PLUG for my company:

Iowa and other Midwestern states are growing a lot of wine. My current favorite is from Nebraska.

That's nothing. Someone put a bottle of this German Riesling on our kitchen counter yesterday. I just took the empty bottle out to the recycle bin:

We produce a fair amount of wine here in Michigan.
Record crop of most fruits this year. The wild grape vines are loaded.

No wine snob, I!
I need to check into the laws regarding mail-order wine from out of state, as I think they've loosened up recently. There are a couple of local (Maryland) wineries that I like, but they're pricey and not necessarily worth it. Generally I stick to California, Italy, and Argentina (mmmm, malbec!).
