The bigger controversy in those “art” cases wasn't the blasphemy, it was that US taxpayers picked up the tab.

So much for the “separation of church and state”. If they cannot even exhibit a Ten Commandments monument (let alone BUY one) then they cannot exhibit in a publicly owned space or fund (via an NEA grant) an artist who gets his perverse jollies p!ssing on a crucifix and taking pictures of it.
