Some MRI imaging studies have shown that the brains of sociopaths are miswired so that they actually derive pleasure from seeing people in pain (normal people “feel” the pain that they witness). I have been convinced for a long time that abortionists are true sociopaths—that only sociopaths would be able to make a career of aborting babies.
There is a website dedicated to the unapologetic celebration of abortion by some of its practitioners. One abortionist described doing abortions on children the same age as the child in her womb. Later, after she gave birth to the living child, she describes clasping her daughter’s hands and feet and fantasizing ripping her apart into pieces the way she does to other children every day. That abortionist clearly gets pleasure out of killing and causing pain.
I believe doing it day after day, one would necessarily come unhinged. The thing I have trouble imagining is the mindset of a young woman pushing her two infants in a double wide baby carriage that I saw participating in a pro-abortion rally in Minneapolis some 20 years ago.
I cannot imagine the moral, mental and emotional aberrations and gymnastics that would propel someone to do this. What is the line, the gate to understanding? The world view you embrace?

a. You believe you are a basically good person that believes there might be something vaguely resembling “God” and, that even if you are agnostic or atheist, you are okay—firmly believing that you are, in fact, a good person. No worries there. You are just as damned before God as anyone else—but you either don’t know or care.
b. You believe you are not a good person-you are a sinner in desperate need of salvation, and you repent of your sin daily knowing your “righteousness” is as filthy rags before God Almighty. Only Christians know how evil the mind and heart of man is and they praise God for his offer of salvation despite their wickedness of heart.
