The astronauts on board the International Space Station saw a strange and unexpected view out their windows yesterday. Saw something launch into space today. Not sure what it was but the cloud it left behind was pretty amazing, tweeted NASA astronaut Mike Hopkins.

So what launched into space?
...
Doing a search for that, I found a notation on the RussianForces website that said:
Strategic Rocket Forces carried out a successful test launch of a Topol/SS-25 missile on October 10, 2013. The missile was launched at 17:39 MSK (13:39 UTC) from Kapustin Yar to the Sary Shagan test site in Kazakhstan. According to a representative of the Rocket Forces, the test was used to confirm characteristics of the Topol missile, to test the systems of the Sary Shagan test site, and to test new combat payload for intercontinental ballistic missiles.

Talk about "Low Information"!
BTW, I remember hearing about the SS-25 since the early 1980’s, they’ve been around for a while. Come to think of it, it was part of the plot in the 1984 movie, “Spies Like Us” starring Dan Akroyd and Chevy Chase where they sneaked into the USSR to launch one to test the SDI system.
Space Ghost
That can't be a picture of a cloud.
Everyone knows clouds go UP, not DOWN.
; )
There was a Delta 4 launch from Cape Canaveral a couple of months ago just after sunset. A couple of minutes into the launch, well after the boosters separated, there was a rapid expansion of gas. The rocket must’ve been 50-100 miles away, but the gas cloud that formed swelled to a diameter of several miles in an instant. It was quite remarkable.
The craziest “cloud” was a contrail off the coast of California a few years back that “was not a missile” LOL!
Probably a result of the HARP system that’s
been burning the upper atmosphere to
chase hurricanes from the gulf.
Who the heck knows anymore. I’ve been
surfing the top ten conspiracy web sites
lately and I think I’ll just have another
beer and count ammo.
Looks like a firework, doesn't it?
