Good idea but fortunately he’s not shady like the company that employed him who got him into this situation in the first place. But i’d have to admit, at this point, it might be tempting...
That is the best plan of action.
This isn’t much different than what happened in the trucking industry when a major company went out of business a few years ago.
Did you read the article? No port would allow him to dock. He was out of food, fuel, and money. The crew was getting rebelious. He received an award for his courage and his ability to hold the crew in check.
There is a larger point to the article. Apparently there are dozens of ships floating around the oceans in a similar state for weeks and months. Irresponsible owners abandoning ships and crews.
