Maybe there will be flood of surplus ammo?
I say the above as a former zoomie.

saw these doing a demo in Tucson, AZ.
Instantly became my new favorite aircraft. It was awesome. They seem to float while unleashing a $hitstorm of death.
The demo was so realistic I was afraid some sort of accident happened from all the smoke.
The A-10 Thunderbolt (the Warthog: So ugly ... it's beautiful!
The A-10 must be hated because it is such a relatively cheap plane. Oh yeah, it’s old. So let’s rebuild B-52’s...I’m sure the upgrade package for a B-52 at this point must cost 3x what a whole new A-10 would cost. An unmanned A-10 would be an utterly awesome battlefield-clearer.
All across the world there are tanks wiping their brows in relief saying “finally we have a chance”.
My aunt lived behind the old Grumman facility and in the early 80s I saw a wing of these take off for where ever they were destined for.
Very imposing.
To this very day, the Hannity worshipers mock the Sequester, despite the fact that the military said it would be the final knife after the military had already (before the Sequester) absorbed two huge cuts to its budget (2009 and 2011).
But hey, people who were wrong don't like to admit they were wrong, so I don't expect to see any of that on this forum.
I was trying to find the year I went to Cairo West on an early Brave Shield joint exercise. It was before 1976 and we had a huge air drop from the states with C-141’s as well as A-10’s shooting up 55 gallon drums of fuel to make a big explosion and get all of the senior leaders from several nations to go ‘oh and ah’.
Just read this article a moment ago. Apparently, Cessna hopes to replace the A-10 with this...

A gun with an airplane designed around it. What a beautiful thing!
Only half of the A-10s produced are still in service. We should be producing new ones. Why not evolutions of proven designs instead of revolutionary designs we can’t afford?
Are they going to talk about replacing it with the F-16 again?
While out on a country road years ago in the boondocks somewhere around the west side of Jackson, NJ (a dozen or twenty or so miles east of McGuire AFB) I looked in my mirror and saw a Warthog in it. Low altitude, following the road; nearest I could figure he might have been practicing sighting in on vehicles. After he passed overhead and was obscured by the treeline a second one came screaming over. Impressive show.
If we could turn a dozen of them loose on Mecca and the Kabb’a we wouldn’t need to nuke it!
IMO, it will be saved and improved,........again.
Well, if I had to go into a gunfight with only one gun...
