Trent Richardson to Cleveland Browns fans: Have faith
NFL.com ^ | September 19, 2013 | Gregg Rosenthal

Trent Richardson was more shocked than anyone about his trade to the Indianapolis Colts. On his first day in a Colts uniform, the running back wanted to send a message to the Cleveland Browns fans who were similarly stunned.

"Keep rooting for the Browns," he told them Thursday. "Don't give up on them. ... It's going to happen. It's going to be big, too. They got a program that's going in the right direction. But like I said, I'm here starting a new chapter in my life."

Haslam makes me long for the honesty of Art Modell.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a team punt the whole season like this, especially not this early. Going with the 3rd string QB and trading their best player for just a draft pick. Yeah it could help in the future, but there’s 14 games left this year, and the division is wide open.

LOL Haslam is trying to shake the city down for $120m to refurb the 14 y/o stadium. I wonder what the odds are that they’ll tell him to shove off to LA.

Five years ago I’d have said zero but after all the years of bad teams, I can see it happening.

The AFC is wide open for three of the four teams playing in the division.

The fourth is nothing but a practice squad for the other three.

The Vikings have been a little frustrated lately.

A nice beatdown of the Browns this Sunday could do wonders for team morale.

The Indiana Irsays pretty much did that when they installed Curtis Painter as qb when Potentate Peyton couldn’t answer the bell due to his neck problem.

Sorry Trent. My “faith” is almost done after a quarter century.

I don’t think they meant to punt the season with that, they just lacked depth. And everybody that put them in that position got fired. And got replaced with some smart people, Ryan Grigson is a real wheeler and dealer, Colts have been involved in over a quarter of the trades that have happened in the league since he took over. And with this trade you gotta think they went from contending to win the division to likely.

It might be their “Herschel Walker” trade.

Don’t worry, when we finally have a Lions-Browns Super Bowl, we’ll all laugh at everybody else.

Looks like Vikings are favored to win by anywhere from 6 to 7.5 points depending on the book.

If it’s 6, I’d say pick the Vikes and give the points for sure.

The only hesitation I’d have over giving more than the minimum points here is that the Brown’s defense is still a capable unit. (Held the reigning Superbowl champs to only 16 points last week.)

Over/Under in 40.5/41. I wonder if that is too high.

Sucks for me. I was expecting a big year from Ahmad Bradshaw. The Colts got a steal. As for the Browns, they gave up the #3 pick overall in 2012 plus $13 million in signing bonus cash, and in return they will get maybe the #18 pick overall in next year's draft.

Idiots. This is the worst thing to happen to the Browns since the Earnest Byner fumble against Denver.

That is great!

I like Prince Fielder. He and I have the same body type.
