The Steelers need to rebuild. Not just the team but the coaches and possibly the Rooneys. Ben lost it after his bike accident. Getting old and married didn’t help.

Tomlin is a deer in the headlights. There is no use watching his press conferences.

The Rooneys are too PC. It used to be the best available athelete in the draft. Now it’s the best available minority athelete.

FWIW I have met Chuck Noll and The Old Man Art Rooney several times. Noll was an incredible class act, a man of Faith and very intelligent.

My crew often worked in the mansion next to the Rooney house in the 80’s. Art used to walk up and down the street doing his evening exercises. He was always disheveled and with cigar.

Even in his declining years he was a great guy and more alert than many thought. He just wanted to enjoy his later years.

He often would stop in and talk with us as we did architectural restoration work. His interest was sincere and usually if we were working extra late he would hand me a card and tell me to take my crew to Shammrocks tavern behind his house.

We were treated to full dinners and all we could drink.

Of course we didn’t abuse that and he noticed! Once he told us to knock off early. We had been onsight from early morning and it was now after 8 at night.

He had made arrangements with the owners of the Thaw Mansion where we were working in case they saw us leaving early.

He then had one of his staff get us and escort us to the tavern where we had a fantastic steak dinner.

Our job wrapped up shortly afterward and we saw him only a few more times. He had asked if we would be open to doing work for his family and of course I jumped at it.

Not so much my partner who was not interested in his projects. Instead we did the Igloo Club, the then home of the Penguins, and then went into upscale, modern private homes and restaurants.

A couple of years later I left the business.

This is off the subject so forgive me, but does anyone know how you can legally wager on a college football game? I know there is plenty information out there that says you can, but I read other links that says you won’t get paid if you win. I live in Georgia. I’d like to hear from someone who has experience with online betting and getting paid when they win, and it being legal.
