It would be nice to believe that there is something out there more advanced than us with all the answers to life’s problems and mysteries, that would some day come in and save us from ourselves.

Alas, we are it, and we are the captains of our own fate.

Anything more powerful than us would understand that we are not worth saving if we cannot save ourselves from our own behavior.

We need to look to ourselves, and not to the sky, for our salvation - what is the condition of our spiritual well-being?

IF there are aliens then we best treat them as a probable threat from the word go.

I for one do NOT expect them to have answers to life’s problems and mysteries, or that they have any interest in saving us from ourselves.

The best we could hope for would be to stave them off until we jacked enough of their technology to get up out of our gravity well and kill them far away from our home turf.

Who said anything about salvation...perhaps they are alien chefs looking for new menu ideas.
