12ga. is best.
Disagree. It takes a brain shot to take out a zombie, and while a 12 Gauge will certainly do that, it's overkill...and noisy, which just attracts more zombies.
The ideal weapon is a .22 rifle. A silenced one is best, but even without a silencer subsonic ammo is fairly quiet.
