This is what happens when you turn over executive positions to blowhard career senators. Legislators have no concept that you don't get do-overs as executives. There's never a chance to say "I was for the one-week ultimatum before I was against it". The damage to American credibility has already been done.

I completely agree. I am one of the few who put Senators and Congresspersons at the bottom of the preferred presidential candidates list.

Too bad that half or more of the wannabes come from Capitol Hill and most of those come out of the Senate.
