The questions are dumb. They’re like asking, “Our computers—hard disks, monitors, sound cards—require electricity to operate. The developmental stop in computers just before the discovery of electricity was:..” Just because a bunch of things are all present in one system doesn’t mean they all developed at once.
The questions are not dumb...you just cannot answer them. And there is a big difference between a computer (which was designed) and life. You cannot even compare the two.
