Posting for two reasons... 1. Beautifully done...no stylizations or runs. (also, yeah I watched some of The Voice this year and knew this kid would win) and 2. Anyone else notice some of the players not exactly being respectful as the anthem was being sung, i.e. Ravens players jumping around on the sideline, no hands over heart.

The Dirty Birds.
There were more Bronco players with their hands over hearts.

That was terrible. Overall, flat . . . missed a few notes by about half of a key, and the tempo indicates little formal training.

And if anyone thinks I'm talking smack, the following is a decent standard to use as a judge. I fully understand the difference between an amateur and a professional . . . this is a professional.

A good rendition - our National Anthem is not easy to sing a capella. It's most gratifying to see it sung without the gyrations, melismas, and other vocal pyrotechnics often employed these days.
It's our National Anthem. It should be rendered respectfully and fervently without a lot of self-serving and self-aggrandizing ornamentation.
Thanks very much to this young lady for her rendition. Given the current climate, I'm not at all sure that it will be siug for long in the future. At least not in public.
It will always be sung by me and mine and by like-minded Americans.
God Bless America!

That’s my favorite version as well. I still think that kid was better than about 95% of the pop/country stars they usually have singing. But like I said, whatever. Different strokes.

I still say the best rendition I’ve ever heard was Tom Sullivan’s at SB X.

"Anyone else notice some of the players not exactly being respectful as the anthem was being sung, i.e. Ravens players jumping around on the sideline, no hands over heart."That's standard fare for pro team sports in general - and part of why I no longer watch any of them.

The young lady that sang it for the NASCAR race tonight did a remarkable job as well.
