I am a non believer in human religions, but my ideas of God are complex, in some ways it is logically impossible for there to be a god, in other ways (for example the infinite complexity of biological life with all the microscopic subsystems that have to interact perfectly at all times, not to mention the millions of symbiotic life forms within your body that make living possible...and lets not even get into how Hydrogen, Oxygen, Carbon, and Nitrogen can think and be self aware), but I fully respect everybodies beliefs. My liberal nephew however is full on militant athiestic, and seems to spend a great deal of time denigrating religion on facebook...and not just making fun of it...he can get downright offensive (I’m a conservative, therefore I do not get offended easily, and I’m not religious so I don’t have a dog in the fight either)...but he gets downright nasty offensive...I have tried many times to correct his ways, and it just makes him nastier. I have even tried to humble him by explaining many examples of how science evolves over time, how the guy (for example that came up with plate tectonics was originally laughed out of his field, not to mention the guy who figured out ulcers were caused by bacteria was mocked for years) and how we don’t even know how much we don’t know, but since he’s 25, lives at mommies, and has never had a job, he never outgrew the 16-18 year old “knows everything” stage, it just got worse.

Actually, need to be a little more specific...when he denigrates religion, he denigrates christian religion, never a word about islam, or budha, or any other religion.

The atheists the writer refers to are the ones who ostentatiously and obnoxiously make themselves known. Many are not true atheists but rather believers who hate the God they nervously believe exists but Who does not promote the appropriate subjects. They actually believe that God shouldn't exist. The actual nonbeliever doesn't much care what believers believe because he himself believes that belief is irrelevant unless the rulers of society require him to believe.

it is logically impossible for there to be a god,

That is true if you only accept God because of proof. Christians accept God because of their faith are not searching for proof.

If you seek proof of a God occupying space in the heavens somewhere, you are looking in the wrong place.

There would be little point in explaining why a Christian acts on his beliefs through faith but this short video may help you to understand where God resides

This doesn't mean you should adopt these beliefs but at least you will be a little better informed.

God doesn't believe in atheist
