CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- An 8-year-old boy was taken into custody after police say he stabbed his four-year-old sister in the neck.

It happened Sunday afternoon at the family's home on Hunt Avenue in Charleston.

Police say the boy was stabbing his sister's baby doll with a steak knife. The girl tried to get the doll back, but police say her brother got upset and stabbed her.

The girl was taken to the hospital. Her injuries are non-life threatening, but she is being kept overnight for observation.

Somone had better keep an eye on the boy. 20 years from now, he'll probably be on death row for murder.

And if you've ever been stabbed in your Charleston, you know how much that hurts. I once had a rash on my Charleston and it was unbearable.

Pretty good bet there is already some animal cruelty in his young past.

From the news article: "The boy's father told police he is not violent. He is staying with his grandmother until a decision is made in court as to where to place him."

The fact that a "father" is mentioned is peculiar. The fact that the "father" would say that the boy is not violent after the boy was stabbing his sister's doll and his sister is peculiar. The fact that the obviously violent boy was placed with a (elderly?) grandmother is peculiar.

Such are the times we live in.

Unsupervised at 8 and 4 years old and the subject of a custody/court battle-what could go wrong? That said, the kid still sounds like a serial killer in training...

There’s not enough information in the article for you to assume that. If the kid is ‘Amish’ and was screaming “Justice fo Trayvon” while stabbing the doll and his sister, then he has a bright future ahead of him in the grievance industry.

Placing him with an elderly( probably semi infirm) grandparent is a BIG mistake. I give you the 8 year old who SHOT his 90 yr old grandmother in the back of the head, here in Louisiana.
I’m gonna just say it- it is very likely such children are simply born evil and violent. Stabbing anything other than your food is violent- an inanimate doll became his sister. Where was his affection for her? Blind rage, homicidal episode-something is wrong in this kids head.
If he were mine- I would consider him a monster. How does anyone ever trust a child who intentionally attacks/kills? And we wonder where these soulless, unfeeling, enraged teens come from? Their parents-like the woman whose deranged teen shot up that school- PROTECT them, excuse them, and curse society with them.
