Who’s been taking care of them before now?
Since they’ve always been around. We just haven’t noticed them?
Have they really always been around (or in such numbers)?
It seems to me that both Alzheimers and Autism are problems that either did not exist 40 years on, or else were much rarer than today.
Maybe its something in the environment or food or?
Most high functioning autistic and AS people can take care of themselves. The more severely affected sadly will wind up being housed in institutions.
Danger? What a silly suggestion. You'll recall Osama Obama's prescription for that 95 year old woman whose doctor recommended a cardiac pacemaker...a pain pill.Pepto Bismol should solve this problem nicely. For we members of the Great Unwashed, that is.
Heck, they will probably make great politicians. Certainly much better than the current crop.
Back when Obamacare was being discussed, on CSPAN there were some hearings about the bill. What they were discussing was covering autism...physical, psychological, medical, extra care, you name it.
Obamcare forces all US citizens to share in the expense of caring for autistics, Down's Syndrome, severe handicapped, bipolar. They're all "pre-existing conditions" so they'll just take what it costs out of everyone's paychecks, in the name of health insurance.
I thought everyone knew that.
It depends if Sebelius,HHS, IRS know you or your family has voted republican all your lives. I am not kidding. deathcare is exactly that.
“An estimated one of every 88 children in the United States has an autism spectrum disorder, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. That means that 45,000 to 50,000 kids with autism turn 18 each year, says autism researcher Paul Shattuck, from Washington University in St. Louis.”
Do you see what they did there? They went from citing the statistic on “autism spectrum disorders”, to extrapolating a number for “kids with autism”. It’s a bait and switch, since ASD includes a whole range of symptoms, including Aspergers, that are not what people normally consider disabling varieties of “autism”. So they are trying to get you to sympathize for more public spending with misleading statistics that include a lot of people who can take care of themselves perfectly well.
Most times the parents take care of them until they die. Who cares for them after that.
It is one of the greatest worries of a parent of an autistic child who will care for them after the parent dies.
Sometimes a sibling, sometimes a group home.
Don’t they just transition to the democrat side of the Congress and Senate?
Same people who take care of the democrats.
The ones that can adapt and work, should work.
The ones that are unable to work cause they are like rainman, then I say strip the lazy abled bodied welfare leeches of the “bene’s” and give it to the disabled autistic folks.
I am a mother of a 24 year old son that is autistic. Obamacare scares me. I think his life will not be treated as important as “normal” people. We still have decent insurance...for now. And whoever said its a “made-up” disease is very ignorant.
Autism covers a broad spectrum of conditions ranging from quirkiness to severe dysfunction. I think much of what is now called autism used to be considered retardation.
Their families, of course, same as always.....no, wait - the gubmint has destroyed the family. I guess you can drop them off at Sebelius’ house.
Under Obamacare, “useless feeders” will take a trip to a special happy camp.
Just like in Germany in the 1930s.
No one. Once obamacare becomes into full effect, they will cease to exist. Whether they will use the “died of heart failure” reason that the Germans used or not I can’t say. But I do know that under obamacare they will be declared
“not worthy of expending our limited medical resources on”. And I also know that the sob was put into the White House by a large segment of the “youth vote”. Self hating Whites, American haters, Jews, union members, and Blacks accounted for the remainder. All thought that obamacare was the best thing since sliced bread. They are about to reap the seeds that they sowed. let them enjoy the harvest.
