It would probably be easy to figure out who this person is, they probably have never been friendly, has at least 2 kids, can see the boy in backyard from their house (they are a few doors down or homes behind).
Back in the early 60’s we had what we called a “retart” living down the block.
She used to chase us when we rode by on our bicycles, but we were never mean to her or made fun of her. She seemed to take joy in the simplest things.
I’m convinced such folk are here to teach us a lesson about what’s really important in life.
That said, it must be incredibly difficult for parents these days to raise such a child.
