Yep. Poor technique. It didn’t help that the guy(s) holding the boards weren’t standing fast, either.

Anyone can break a board with proper technique, they key to which is driving your fist or foot solidly through the point of impact.

yup.

he did better once a second guy held the board. even still, he wasn’t delivering the power properly
