I’m thinking this was an “ugly” American....maybe a bit arrogant.....sounds like he robbed the cradle for the second marriage....
America sure has its share of ugly Americans here in Japan , too , and they spoil things for those of us who are not ugly , e.g. not being allowed to enter various clubs and forbidden for using various “ services “ .
“Ugly” Americans? I’ve run into a lot of “ugly” foreigners in this country who make the “ugliest” American look like Rudolph Valentino.
