That's exactly what they've done on several ranches in several states up here in the Northwest. Wolves first attack cattle from the softer parts in the rear. There have been quite a few posts and discussions on the matter here. A certain small amount of decay will give the appearance of sharp incisions to the inexperienced.

Ok, explain the lack of blood and other bodily fluids at these scenes. Why haven’t owners’ dogs alerted on these attacks?

Are you really telling me that wolves reached in to a cow’s mouth and delicately removed its tongue, while not touching their throat, stomach, or shanks?

Why did the wolves not consume the rest of the kill?
