Aw, thanks so much, sweet wardaddy. Red Rooster, huh? Great song!
I posted Happy Birthday to him on the FReepathon thread this morning, along with a couple of their songs.

My 13 year old beautiful granddaughter who's spending the summer with me, discovered the Stones on her own and she's made CD's with almost every song of theirs. We play them in the car. She was amazed that I still had old tapes and "33 rpm" albums...lol.

They're still my favorite.

Awesome story about your granddaughter Onyx. Wish I had one to pass on my exquisite taste to. Everyone have a great weekend and listen to more Stones!

I have been doing pretty well, my friend, but working way, way too many hours to survive the Obomaconomy. I occasionally post here but my life is consumed with work. Unfortunately, I do not know what any of us can do here. This great nation is barely harely hanging on after enduring a bloodless coup by a man who grew up as a Muslim in a foreign land and who hates America. He and his attorney general are above the law, are shredding the Constitution, and there appears to be no one, who has the ability to stop him (our conservative elected officials), will stop him.

Yeah, the Stones show at the Hollywood Bowl was awesome. My date melted when she heard Jagger do LADY JANE.

Saw them one time on the 1981 tour at the LA Coliseum. It is hard to believe that even back then - 32 years ago - they were seen as old geezers that were long past their prime. They put on a hell of a show however and there were some great performances by opening acts George Thorogood and J. Geils Band, two other classic bands that were in their prime. As an amusing aside, there was another opening act called Prince who was booed off the stage. Yes, that Prince.

I also happened to be at the USC game at the Coliseum that same weekend, which was played the Saturday between the Friday and Sunday shows. I was in the Marine Corps then, stationed at 29 Palms, and was in L.A. on a "96" pass. My father happened to be in town on business and scored tickets for both the game and the concert. He liked the football game but didn't know what to make of the Stones.

BTW - anyone (especially Mick Taylor fans) who hasn’t yet gotten their hands on the Brussel’s Affair cd or mp3’s - do so.

Best live stuff ever - blows YaYa’s out of the water. Released in 2011 - taped in 1973. How they kept the lid on it for 40 years is beyond me. Like unearthing King Tut’s tomb and not telling anyone.

Crystal clear, just flat-out rocking live music and the set list speaks for itself.

1. “Brown Sugar” 3:54
2. “Gimme Shelter” 5:31
3. “Happy” 3:13
4. “Tumbling Dice” 5:02
5. “Starfu**er” 4:15
6. “Dancing with Mr. D.” 4:36
7. “Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo (Heartbreaker)” 5:01
8. “Angie” 5:13
9. “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” 10:57
10. “Midnight Rambler” 12:49
11. “Honky Tonk Women” 3:10
12. “All Down the Line” 4:19
13. “Rip This Joint” 2:24
14. “Jumpin’ Jack Flash” 3:26
15. “Street Fighting Man” 5:13
