Chloe Jennings-White suffers from a rare psychological condition known as Body Integrity Identity Disorder. An able-bodied 58-year-old woman, Jennings-White fantasizes about being a paraplegic and wants to undergo spinal surgery to make her legs stop working, The Sun reported.
An overseas doctor agreed to perform the surgery, in which he would cut her sciatic and femoral nerves. But the operation would cost her nearly $25,000.

So she can go on welfare and have able bodied people who do work pay for her upkeep?
Ive heard about sickos like this watching those “True Stories of the ER” programs..saw an episode once where this guy cut off his arm on purpose because he wanted to be an amputee
She’s a socialist, insane Brit. Teach her to ride a Harley. Three hours, max, she gets her wish and she’s in a wheelchair...
“Do no harm”?
Why am I not surprised that she’s also got another disorder that’s no longer recognized as such, in addition to her wish to be utterly helpless and dependent on others for the rest of her life?
I stopped right there.
Do no harm?

It's more than a mere promise.
"When a person's idea of how they should look does not match their actual physical form, it can be caused by Body Integrity Identity Disorder. This condition affects a small percentage of the population and is commonly manifested by a desire to have an amputation of a specific body part. In most cases, the limb that the person would like to remove is actually in healthy working order and there are no physical problems with it.
"Many psychologists and neurologists have ventured theories into what causes this type of thought. The common leading idea is that Body Integrity Identity Disorder, or BIID, occurs when the brain is not able to provide an accurate plan of the body. In this case, the brain sees the offending limb as being foreign and not actually a part of the person, thus the desire to have it removed."
Actually scissoring will be out for this lady and her wife.
She’s got a lot of nerve .. well, for now
In other words, she’s a fruitcake.
Welcome to a world in which complete idiocy is “normalized.”
All in the name of “diversity.”
Anyway, you’ll have to excuse me now. I’m taking my wall clock out to a romantic candlelit dinner.
I wouldn’t go that far, her brain has convinced herself that her legs are basically tumors. The correct treatment is behavior modification. Any doctor that gives into a delusion is not being helpful. This goes for GID as well.
I thought the same thing. I wonder if the UK’s healthcare will pay for her health needs from her making herself a disabled person.
She should be institutionalized.
Nothing is new under the sun and with enough money you can buy it or force the government to provide it.
