Something has always puzzled me.

Why were the people at the beginning of the Superman show so excited about a bird or a plane in the sky?

Something has always puzzled me. Why were the people at the beginning of the Superman show so excited about a bird or a plane in the sky?

That brings to mind another question that has been asked many times over the years:

How come Superman just stands there smiling as the bad guy fires six shots at him from point blank range, but then ducks when the bad guy throws his empty gun at him?
