Exactly. Looking at anything will allow a pattern to develop, regardless of how random it may be. It doesn't mean it is statistically relevant.

This has as much logic behind it as the standby amount for content insurance on your homeowner's policy. I was told by my agent to use 30% of my home's value for a base in determining content value. So, with that logic in mind, when I moved from a $200k home to a $400k home, my crap doubled in value?!?!? Whatever...
