Phil and Alan Robertson from the hit reality-series "Duck Dynasty," will be at Saddleback Church on July 20 and 21 to discuss how following Jesus has changed their lives as part of the megachurch's "Follow Me" series.
The sermon series has brought influential American preachers and leaders to the Southern California church to share their experiences as disciples of Jesus Christ. The Robertsons' message to the church will align with the topic of following God and will feature their take on being a believer.

What do they want from Broke Back church?
Are they looking to do a gay wedding?
They’re an eclectic bunch but they’re a God fearing family with traditional values. This country surly has worse to offer.
Ahh, Saddleback Church and the WCCA. If you don’t know what the WCCA is, then you are being taken advantage of.
WCCA are the folks who at their “leadership summits” gave a political cover to Al Gore on the whole Partial Birth abortion debate. Right up there on stage.
Saddleback, Rick Warren, WCCA, “seeker sensitive” AKA compromise our faith megachurches.
One step more “hip” than the TV Name-It-Claim it crowd, but not much so.
Note: I am a Christian, but critical of shallow religion
I have been calling Warren’s church Broke Back Church for years....glad I’m not the only one who thinks Warren is a communist sympathizer.
bttt
Maybe the Robertsons will lead Warren to real salvation.
Hopefully they can stop off at Osteen’s on their way home.
In the last chapter he makes no bones on his political alliances. Actually did not vote until he was 28. Said he is definite NOT a democrat, favors Republicans, but said he would call himself a CHRISTOCRAT.
Gave very high praise to Ronald Reagan saying the government is more likely the cause of problems then solving them.
There is a really cool youtube video on Si Robinson saying, we do not have a gun problem in America, we have a sin problem.
There is also a neat video of Miss Kay and Phil on the 700 club.
Say, didn’t they host a Clinton or two?
Had to do a little research. Alan is the clean shaven son and not on the show with his brothers.
You have information on this Willow Creek Church I think it’s called? I know people in churches all over that are ranting and raving about these “leadership” seminars, and I look at the lineup and I’m sick to my stomach.
Saddleback... isn’t that a really plush country club in Lake Forest, CA?
I don’t know, but I do know that Adam Lambert’s fans want him to appear on the show. Uhhh, Adam is gay and I don’t know if that would sit well with the family. For those who aren’t aware - Adam was the runnerup on season 8 of American Idol.
I’ll give the Duck Dynasty folks a pass here. They may not know that Rick Warren preaches a different gospel...one focused on self, rather than the cross. What I do know is that the Duck folks are very politically incorrect and will speak truth regardless of the consequences. It will be interesting.
Joel Osteen is another one of those christian socialist charlatans that sends me into orbit.
I read elsewhere that he will be added to the show for the upcoming season.
Yup. They came to the area a few months back, and as usual shared their faith with the audience. The venue was a performing arts theater. A local liberal church (who may have been instrumental in booking them for all I know) had a female pastor do a sermonette. Phil later told the audience that women should remain silent in the assembly. Don't think it went over real well with the pastor.
I had a hard time getting into DD; but now really like the program...and Mrs. Horse also is hooked.
“Ill give the Duck Dynasty folks a pass here. They may not know that Rick Warren preaches a different gospel...”
One thing about Warren is that he is smart. He knows to say what he must say to win the favor of his audience, regardless of what he said to the last audience or what he will say to the next. If he can win over someone as serious about Bible doctrine as John Piper (I still don’t get that one!!!), the Duck Commander never stood a chance.
