Same here. I've observed over several years how excess salt can raise my BP. Too many canned soups and other processed foods are usually the reason. I have a home BP monitor and have learned how to keep my BP normal or better.
And I recently read on the Dr. Mercola site that sleep deprivation can increase the risk of prostate and other cancers up to 100%.
I'm not buying this fish oil study. And I think Rush is a genius at analyzing political topics and social topics, but all these dietary matters aren't among his best subjects and I tend to hit the mute button when he gets going on them as he often does. It's a pet peave of his and I'm not sure he's all that objective when considering diet/nutrition/exercise topics.
But when you feel you’ve had enough, you’ve had enough. Fine, don’t eat any more. Too much salt will kill you. So will too much water, or anything else.
The point of the article is, they set arbitrarily low maximums for the entire planet, but we are individuals, and our needs and tolerances differ widely.
All I know is, back in the 50s and 60s you could get a chewing out if you failed to take your salt tablets every day.
