Looks like F-15 tail section with F-16 wing with thrust-vectoring. It seems like pretty old technology.

Does it want to tangle with an F-22?

Does it want to tangle with an F-22? Well, the suckoff was designed to do close combat ballet. The F-22 just flies in and shoot once from - well, we don't really know how many miles away, turn around and get back in time for the volleyball game behind the officer's club.

Superficial. This is a better plane that the F-15, or the F-16, by far. And with advanced radars and fire control it has proven to be a formidable aircraft.
Russia will sell heaps, orders are flowing in.

I would advice you to study military history. During WWII Russian T-34 tanks was simple but way better than US Shermans and German Panzers. Their fighters (after 1943)was superior killing machines that was feared by German pilots. AK-47 is more reliable and way better than M-16( my personal combat experience).Never underestimate your opponent.

True. BTW, dunno if it has "supercruise" or not like the F-22 does but that's old technology too, the English Electric Lightning had supercruise and was Mach 2+ capable, remarkable for a mid 1950's era jet.
