Not sure what you mean, but if slaves throughout the South had started slaughtering the white people they could get at, those would certainly have been atrocities by my definition.
If they are then Bobby Lee, Tommy Jackson, and Jeff 'Run for my life and leave my family to fend for themselves' Davis were even more atrocious.
