The ladies behind the counter at my credit union insist that I a) remove my sunglasses if I forget to take them off after coming inside on a bright summer day, and b) my baseball cap if I'm wearing one. I am not really sure that my regular bank has those rules, particularly about the ball cap. It may be a federal rule for federal credit unions. And if the rule applies to everybody it is evidently not discrimination.

I have seen the sign at banks, don’t know if it is an option or a ‘catchall’.
I always wear a cap and sunglasses and haven’t been asked to remove them. Of course I am at the age where they think I am ‘cute’, then again I don’t normally frequent banks where I am not ‘known’.
Also, my sunglasses are prescription so I guess if asked to take them off I should start ‘stumbling’ around and walking into things (my sight is no where near that bad, but as the LIBS say, no sense having a ‘situation’ if you can’t exploit it and make the other guy either look bad or ‘feel sorry’ for you.).
