Safari syncs your phone, desktop, iPad, and what have you through iCloud.
Cool, isn't it?

ActiveSync is *supposed* to do this. Check and see if you have it.

I once had emails from my home computer and my husband’s work computer start showing up on my phone as text messages. it got worse from there. I then had someone turning my computer on and off remotely at night. One time, my husband actually heard them talking about making copies of things.

Odd.
I had several posts on FR under my name that were not me.
Happened after being in the airport and using free WiFi.
They weren’t weird or anything, just not mine.
I assumed there was another Freeper sitting there in the airport.

Yes, I see that someone mentioned I-cloud. My problem was before I-cloud and Safari, not the same thing at all.

When I first booted up my new computer it tried to connect wireless to my wireless modem, my other computer's wireless, and my wireless telephone.

I have a Sister and Brother-in-Law who typically spend half the year in Europe. We email each other about every day.
Last year when I still had a dial-up modem, it got to where I had real problems sending and receiving emails from them, I guess I should change that to opening emails and sending emails just to them. None of my other regular email senders/receivers, had any problem.
I remember wondering if the fact they were in Hungary meant that someone was spying on my emails. This was before all the publicity. Of course discussing family reunions, the weather etc. would get pretty boring to anyone listening in I guess.

I think what's happening is on your Mac.
In Safari 6 see if under Preferences > General the third line down "Safari opens with" is set to "All windows from last session." You can change this to "A new window" which I personally prefer since I find the other setting to be disconcerting.
Hope this helps.
