I remember WBAI, aka W “spread the lies” back in college. Everytime I tuned in to really try to listen to the other side they would pre-empt their regular programming to do fundraisers. Ever since the 70’s they’ve been on the brink of perpetual bankruptcy.
Looks like they stayed afloat the old fashioned way, by cooking the books.
