I don’t accept that a kid earned, by himself, the rank of Eagle by 13. This “early” earning Eagle stuff is just as false as the Boy Scouts now claiming to Reverent to God and “morally straight”.

Who are you to judge anybody? You come across as a pious jerk. You ain’t squat.
Although I don’t know what it takes to be an Eagle Scout, it’s not out of the realm of possibility when you consider how much time urban kids have. How badges could a kid earn during school breaks and summers?
My son legitimately made Eagle at 13 - he was focused and worked very hard - there were no hand outs or parental participation.

I am a scout leader and we have two very focused kids.
Yes with parent support and encouragement each has earned 25 merit badges by the time they turned 13.
I worked with them on the Personal Management badge and they came in well prepared and met all the requirements.
Also, various organizations including some colleges have
set up merit badge colleges so a scout can earn a merit badge or two in a weekend.

My son’s troop has a scout who is Life at 13. He is an outstanding individual and very motivated. He will earn Eagle and several palms before he turns 18.
Our nation is full of bright, mature, dedicated exceptional young men who can do amazing things.
Too bad we have a government and society that dumbs them down.
