Russia's dash-cams prove yet again their infinite entertainment value. This bear--this stupid bear who runs right into traffic--gets slammed full-speed by a car, and there's some head-over-heels action, some spinning upside-down in the mud, and a moment of pure bewilderment as it finally regains control of its body. Napoleon and Hitler found out how tough Russian bears are.
In my teen years we ran across a guy that had his car totaled and the Bear was on the side of the road ... groggy but still standing. In those days we all had guns with us... all we had was a 22LR single shot Rifle (That very Rifle is actually behind me as I type)... To put the Bear out of it’s misery I first tried right between the eyes... didn’t phase it at all, next was a Heart Lung Shot from about 4’ (the first attempt aggravated the Bear)... barrel right in it’s eye finally did the trick... THEY ARE TOUGH.

A big bear got hit here several years ago and whatever hit it busted it open and made a mess on the highway. Probably a semi. I came by that afternoon and there was meat and fat for 150 yards. And that bear grease stain remained on the highway for years until they finally repaved the road.

Woudl you pass up such a golden opportunity?
We almost had the same thing happen here in Pittsburgh. There was a black bear wandering around Aspinwall, just northeast of Pittsburgh where animal control shot it with a tranquilizer but it did not work fully so the bear ran off, into traffic, almost got hit and into the woods where they lost it.
