During this whole drive for same-sex marriage I have pointed out to liberal and conservative alike my supposition that a rather powerful group of divorce lawyers is behind it. Their business is slacking, of course, since many straights just live together now instead of getting legally married. Inject a whole new crowd HUNGRY to get actually legally married and the shysters have themselves a whole new lucrative market!
Both my liberal and conservative friends simply say, "Whoa!" ... And actually start thinking about it. Maybe for the first time.
