What makes the corruption so complete, and so easy for the Left, is the simple fact that the Right is too craven, effeminate, emasculated, and terrified to offer any resistance or opposition.
In too many cases, the Right has gone as far as to join the Left in the despoiling of the nation, in a frantic effort to "get their fair share" before the collapse.
Those you refer to as “the Right” are not. They are also the Left.
IMO the country will continue its downhill slide until something breaks (e.g., an economic meltdown, a significant terrorist attack, foreign aggression). When that event occurs, the country will suddenly demand leadership to save their sorry butts. Until that time, the party will go on.
