His movies seem to be all about him with little room left for other characters. Although I guess this one is all about his son.
Usually at least the “him” in the movie is fun and wisecracking. In this one his character just seems to be emotionally distant and kind of abusive. If I wanted to watch somebody being a jerk to their kid I could just go to one a junior talent show.
