Dark matter particles are moving more slowly and are less able to affect the heavy xenon nucleus.

I was a little surprised by this statement. Here we are searching for a particle where we really have no idea what it’s mass is and we are claiming it must be a slow mover.

I think they are guessing.

The farther the grant dollars are apart, the more velocity is imparted to the Guessticles.
