Tebow is being “blackballed” because he is lacks the skill set to be an effective NFL quarterback. He would be more likely to be on a team if he were willing to play tight end or halfback. This is not hard to understand. It’s been said here over an over again and everywhere else.
That's okay for tebow...he needs to go back to his true mission, which is to spread the Gospel. He's a better man than 98% of the thugs currently playing pro football.
Tebow isn’t a tight end and will never be a half back. Just because you have size and some foot speed doesn’t give you the ability to recognize zone coverages, change blocking schemes and CATCH the ball in traffic.
He played quarterback. He played well enough with crappy play calls to win several games and beat the Steelers. He has as many playoff wins as Romo and will never be given a chance unless he screws some women(or men) smokes some chronic or kills some dogs.
He won some games. He did everything they asked him to do and still he won’t get a shot to even back up some of the current run and gun quarterbacks. “too much baggage”.
This all goes back to the pro life Super Bowl ad. I called that he would never be allowed to play in the NFL. I was wrong about the never but the lib’s greatest fear is if he gets another starting shot and does well.
Have you ever seen or heard this much criticism of any rookie quarterback? I mean the endless pundit after pundit on ESPN and other related media, still he just keeps on plugging along.
‘because he is lacks the skill set to be an effective NFL quarterback.’
So I guess then that the only time he was allowed to start and play he took a team to the playoffs, that was a fluke? He took a less talented Broncos team farther in the playoffs than Peyton did last year.
Truth is, Tebow is a fantastic athlete. What the Jets did last year to Tebow was criminal. Why has no team picked him up yet has nothing to do with his ability to play quarterback.
A fullback sized running back who is a threat to throw makes defenses adjust their coverages. That opens opportunities for the offense.
